Background Story For Full Plate Thursday
When we were young and just starting out in life sometimes we did not have a lot of money. Most of our friends were having to stretch the dollars at the end of the month just like us. My girlfriends and I decided that we would pool our food for some of the evening meals right before payday... the last week of the month. I have some of the fondest memories from those days. We would all bring our food together and we had some great food and great fellowship. We would get the food on the table and everything ready, someone would bless the food and then the hostess would say "come fill your plate".

Spicy Cheese Bread

We live in the country and have to keep a very well stocked pantry and freezer because we can't always run down to Whole Foods or Central Market to pick up those special foods to make that special meal when company calls and will be stopping by.   This recipe was developed one day when my husband came home and said that he had invited some friends for dinner, now that was like 4:00 p.m., think fast what can I do to make a special appetizer? Has this ever happened to you?  Hope you enjoy our new appetizer, we just love it and so did our guest.

Spicy Cheese Bread

3 green onions with tops, chopped
1 medium jalapeno, chopped fine
3/4 cup Mayonnaise
Directions

In a medium bowl mix the cheese, olives, pimento's, onions, jalapeno's and mayonnaise set aside
Place the open  faced frozen garlic bread on a cookie sheet, garlic side up
Place the garlic bread in the oven for 5 minutes and remove from oven
Spread the cheese mixture on each garlic side of the bread and return to the oven
Bake for 8 to 9 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbling you can cook it longer if your want it crisper

Best Crock Pot Pulled Pork

We just love Pulled Pork and it really is one of the easiest meats to prepare for a crowd of people or little batches for the freezer.  This is a great Pulled Pork recipe and is very moist which is one of the reasons we just loved it.  When I got my SRC assignment this month and went to visit Maria at Close To Home, one of the first recipes that caught my eye was this awesome Pulled Pork.  Maria is a stay at home Mom, and she and her husband have three beautiful children.  She was inspired by her Grandmother in her homemaking and entertaining skills and began to share that talent on her blog in 2009.  Maria has a great Linky Party on Friday, Friday Food Frenzy Recipe Swap and has a great community of bloggers that visit with awesome food.  Be sure and stop by to say hello to Maria and check out her great blog!
